- THAT’S IT!
This plugin is a powerful money maker for Amazon associates because of its high degree of product relevancy in relation to the content of blog categories. Because it is possible to render product images from any Amazon RSS, blog owners are encouraged to choose RSS feeds that compliment their blog categories. For example, it would make sense to find RSS product feeds pertaining to “cats” if the blog post and the blog category focused on feline care and hygiene.
Products will update automatically
The product images listed with this plugin will be updated when Amazon updates the products in their RSS feed. This means that the products listed will always be up to date, in demand, and popular with Amazon shoppers. Because Amazon’s feeds are not very pronounced nor obvious, I have composed a small video showing how to find them.
- Here’s a 7.5 minute Youtube video that will help you Find RSS Feeds on Amazon.
“Custom-fit” Product Image Placement
Through the use of conditional tags, it is possible to control the placement of each particular product image campaign. In other words, the Amazon RSS in Wordpress plugin has the ability to pull multiple images from a diversity of RSS feeds. Using Conditional Tags will “custom-fit” the placement of each RSS product image into their specific Wordpress category. See the Example Code below.
- It is recommended to read up on using Conditional Tags in Wordpress.
Support Forum
In the Amazon RSS in Wordpress Support Forum, users of this plugin interact with one another, ideas are shared, and Amazon RSS feeds are discussed. In addition, feedback for feature improvements will be given for future releases. Your contributions are always welcome and are encouraged.
- Please do not “contact” me with plugin support questions.
- Please use the forum to get my attention and the attention from the general public.
Understand that it would be very time consuming to respond to each individual question, and it would make no sense to respond to the same question dozens of times. The forum exists to facilitate user interactions, and it is hoped that it will be a “one-stop-answer-shop.”
Example Code
This .PHP code is very rudimentary. In the discussion forum, people will be sharing more sophisticated ways of customizing this plugin with .PHP. But for now, this is an example of what this plugin is capable of doing. What this code does is render the images from a specific campaign on posts from specific wordpress categories. In other words, each WP Category will show its own Products from Amazon.
- To see an example of the code, please see this topic in the forum.
