What is affiliate traffic sharing?

For the Amazon RSS in Wordpress Plugin, affiliate traffic sharing means that there will always be one product image from the total number of images displayed on your blog that will be associated with the Shop Network's affiliate-id tag. In other words, the shop network will always have a chance of earning credit through the images on your site(s).

Which images are yours? Which are mine?

Each time a feed is updated or generated, one item from the total number of items displayed will be chosen at random to be associated with the shop network's associate-id. The rest of the items will be associated with your associate-id. For this reason, this plugin is free and is supported — automatically — each time it is used and installed on blogs. Because of the randomness of associate-id assignment to product images, no one really knows which associate-id will be picked.

Can I influence the odds?

Yes you can. Because you know that one, and only one, image will always be associated with the shop network's associate-id, rendering more images will tip the scales in your favor. In a nutshell, the more images that you choose to display, the increased percentage of images on the screen that will bear your associate-id Let's do a little math here.

  1. Let the variable n be the chosen number of images to be displayed.
  2. The forumula [(n - 1) / n] * 100 represents the percent of images on the page that will bear your associate-id. Here's a full breakdown.

When n = 10, then [(10 - 1) / 10] * 100 = 90.00% of images are yours.

When n = 09, then [(09 - 1) / 09] * 100 = 88.89% of images are yours.

When n = 08, then [(08 - 1) / 08] * 100 = 87.50% of images are yours.

When n = 07, then [(07 - 1) / 07] * 100 = 85.71% of images are yours.

When n = 06, then [(06 - 1) / 06] * 100 = 83.33% of images are yours.

When n = 05, then [(05 - 1) / 05] * 100 = 80.00% of images are yours.

When n = 04, then [(04 - 1) / 04] * 100 = 75.00% of images are yours.

When n = 03, then [(03 - 1) / 03] * 100 = 66.67% of images are yours.

When n = 02, then [(02 - 1) / 02] * 100 = 50.00% of images are yours.

When n = 01, then [(01 - 1) / 01] * 100 = 00.00% of images are yours.

Can I opt out of affiliate traffic sharing?

At the present time, no. Affiliate traffic sharing will be the only financial means that this plugin will be supported for the near future. Because the programmers will demand their payment from me in order for them to continue developing this plugin, affiliate traffic sharing will be how I pay for continued development.

Continued development depends upon your feedback. Which features do you want to see? Do you want something added, changed, or removed? When I go to the programmers, I will present them with a summarized list of features that you want and/or bugs that you have discovered. Everyone benefits from this model in the end.

Final Words

Give this plugin a chance to work for you. Implement it for at least 90 days to determine if it's right for you. Because you have created a unique associate-id tag just for this plugin, you'll be able to see how much money you have made with this plugin.

Focused content writing + relevant RSS feeds from Amazon = more earning potential!
