Thank you, Amazon, for this free sampler from one of the finest jazz labels ever. It's over 70 minutes of first-rate music, and includes some of my all-time favorite jazz musicians: Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Charles Lloyd, et al.
[I felt obliged to write this review to help balance out the 1- and 2-star reviews from people who either (a) couldn't get this download because they're outside the US, or (b) got this download for free but still felt compelled to slam a musical genre they clearly don't like or understand. To them I say: (a) I'm very sorry for you that you can't get it, but it's not the musicians' fault, so don't get your revenge through bad ratings, and (b) don't review any more jazz CD's, and I'll refrain from reviewing Britney Spears and the Jonas Brothers, 'kay?]

Someone isn't thinking well:
Amazon sends an e-mail (to an email adress that is clearly non-usa). Inviting me, as a loyal customer (to who's non-usa adress they've mailed quite a lot of CD's) to discover an mp3 download for free.
Makes you feel recognised and appreciated as customer, doesn't it?
Only to discover, whan trying to download, that this feature is set up only for (and explicitely limited to) the less than 5% of the population living in the usa.
Sure, there will be a lot of reasons for this. Honestly, they don't concern me. Just don't invite me to a party to arrogantly refuse me at the gate.

OK reviewers, look -- If you're outside the US, this wonderful networking system we call the Internet works wonders when it comes to finding music. You just need to look for it. Simple. Don't drag the overall rating of a freely distributed jazz sampler just because you don't have access to it. Complain to Amazon.
Other one-star reviewers -- jazz usually ain't pop. In other words, don't spin Chick Corea if you want a standard radio-friendly 2.5 minute piece of fluff. I hope this sampler either opens your ears to jazz or concretes you in your current musical tastes. Either way, please don't pass out undeserved one-star reviews.

Now this is way beyond expectations. A free ECM sampler? I don't know what to say........other than thanks Amazon. Really, in times like this you give free downloads? Of ECM music????
